Story day 4

The next day as Cupcake was walking around the house having a leisurely stroll, from out of a corner, Timmy jumped out suddenly at Cupcake and Cupcake hissed and spat at Timmy, clawing his face before running the other way. Timmy was simply dumbstruck! Why, he just wanted to play with Tracy's first cat, but he did not expect such sudden animosity from a cat spoken so highly of by his new owner. At this realization, Timmy's eyes started to water and he left the room starting to sob. Chunky having just ate his breakfast Tracy left out for them all before she left for work saw Timmy sobbing and went over to him. "What's wrong, Tim? Something happen?" Chunky asked with a hint of worry in his voice.

"I found Cupcake, Chunky. But he didn't want to play at all. He hissed and hit me and then ran off. Did I do something wrong?" Timmy asked over his sobbing. With this, Chunky patted the small cat on the head.

"Don't worry too much, Tim. The guy probably spooks easy. Tracy did say he was a solo cat all his life. He's still gotta get used to us. As for Susie, I don't know. Pedigreed cats are a different species altogether in my books."

"Okay. Do you want to play with me, Chunky?"

"Sure thing, Tim, but you know I'll win anyway."

"We'll see about that, big guy."

Story day 3

Tracy came home from her job that evening and found Timmy and Chunky playing around while Susie licks herself and immediately went to her room to find Cupcake safe and sound. She then got her home phone and a phone book and looked through it while petting Cupcake. "What are you doing, Tracy?" Cupcake asked.

"Looking for a therapist for you. I feel like you should talk to someone about your problems." Tracy replied.

"Why not you though?"

"I can help, sure, and I definitely will because you're my best friend, Cupcake, but you professional help. I have my job so I won't always be here for you and you know that."

"All right. I'll take your word for it."

Story day 2

The next morning Tracy got up from her bed and exited her bedroom to find Cupcake curled up outside her door sleeping. Tracy then knelt down and gently nudged the little guy to wake him and he sure enough stirred. Getting up and arched his back while stretching his legs as far as he could before looking up at Tracy. "Good morning, Tracy" he said softly before looking around for any of the other cats.

"Is there something wrong, Cupcake? You were missing the entire day and you didn't greet any of your new friends." Tracy said, her voice still filled with worry for the little guy.

"They can't be my friends. They scare me." Cupcake replied, starting to visibly shake.

"Why not? They're other cats. Haven't you always wanted a playmate?"

"I've always had you, Tracy. Never any other cats. I just don't know how to react. I feel hurt just thinking about just meeting them. I've heard their voices and that's far enough for me. I just can not handle them, Tracy. I need help."

"Okay, tell me what happened yesterday."

"I smelled three new smells that I've never smelled before and then my chest just started tightening up and I felt short of breath. I just panicked over these new smells and this tightness and loss of breath and I just had to hide."

"Is there any way we can try to get you used to them?"

"Never. Not like this, Tracy. Just leave me alone now."

"Alright, you can have my room for the rest of the day then. I'll bring you some things later on. I'll have to go to work now. I'll tell the others to stay away and not to worry. I think I should get in contact with someone about this."

Story proper day 1

There one was a cat named Cupcake. He was a little fluffy thing with fur that was golden blonde, just like a vanilla cupcake and the biggest, brightest blue eyes anyone could ever stare into in wonder at. He was separated from his litter very young and raised by his sole owner, a woman named Tracy. He grew up in her house living a moderately happy lifestyle and was comfortable living by himself with only his owner being around to play with him whenever she wasn't at her job. One day, Tracy decided to bring home three new cats, each about Cupcake's age. Before Tracy could introduce Cupcake to any of them, he started to feel a certain tightness in his little chest and suddenly felt short of breath, as if his little heart had stopped. Tracy initially paid no mind as she was busy opening up the new cats' crates and Cupcake quickly ran out of the room to hide. One of the new cats, a large, round and chubby grey cat came walking out of his cage and started sniffing the floor and looked on in a slight worry before turning back to Tracy and saying "I thought you said you had a cat I could play with, Tracy. I smell him, but I don't see him."

"He's probably playing hide and seek, he'll be out to play eventually." Tracy replied.

"Well if he's playing hide and seek, he's already winning!"

Tracy then opened up the second of the three crates and an all white cat with the most luxurious green eyes came trouncing out. This one had a pink collar around its neck as if to say it was female, which Tracy reassured us it was by asking the cat, named Susie if she wanted to play too. "I'd rather have some fine wet food and a nap. I could care less about this Cupcake of yours." Susie scoffed, her nose turned up to the ceiling. Tracy shrugged and then opened the final crate and a black cat crawled out, this cat was a noticeably smaller than the rest of the bunch and also had a green collar with a tiny silver bell around its neck. "Would you like to play hide and seek with Cupcake too, Timmy?" Tracy asked the small black cat. "I'm still looking for him, but I must say I'm a bit worried though, shouldn't he have given up already?" said the large grey cat.

"I don't know, Chunky, but Cupcake will come around eventually, just wait a while." said Tracy.

"What's hide and seek?" asked Timmy shyly

"A kitten's game that we should have no time playing" Susie replied.

"Oh shush, Susie, you'll ruin the game that way, Tracy said as she looked around in slight worry for Cupcake.

Where did Cupcake go? What was the tightness in his little chest? Find out tomorrow, readers.

Introduction

In an effort to write more, I decided to make a story about a little cat named Cupcake who was anxious. Why, you might ask? That is because I've been more open with my love of felines recently and while I have social anxiety and depression, I thought I could transpose that to a fictional feline whose journey to wellness that we all could follow through this blog. So everyone get the bookmarks on this one because good ol' Ryan is back in the writer's saddle once again!
To answer where I've been all this time, I can say that I've been taking a break from Facebook because it sort of made me feel bad to go on it. I have been on Twitter though. You all can follow me @CookieArcus on there and see what I'm up to there. I'm on there pretty regularly nowadays so if you guys really want to see what I've been up to and sort of stalk me while I play Minecraft, since I mostly tweet about my minecraft adventures and discoveries, you can feel free to do so there. Don't have a Tweety Box? Ah, just bookmark my twitter feed if you want. No need to sign up for Twitter to really gain insight to my antics there. Anyway, that's all for this post, everyone! Good to be back in the saddle again and I hope you'll all enjoy what I'll have to offer in the very near future.
